I created Timeless Word to help Christians understand Scripture with greater clarity and confidence. I’ve met many believers who genuinely want to know God’s Word but aren’t always sure where to begin. My hope is that these resources will help you discover Scripture’s meaning, see how it points to Christ, and apply its truth to everyday life.

For more than thirty years, I’ve served as a pastor, professor, and author. Whether preaching, teaching, or writing, my goal is the same: to explain the Bible faithfully, clearly, and practically. I believe God’s Word is meant to be understood. Careful study doesn’t make Scripture less relevant; it helps us see its beauty, depth, and transforming power.

One of my greatest joys is helping people discover truths in Scripture they may never have noticed before. There is something deeply rewarding about watching God’s Word come alive as its meaning becomes clear and its truth takes root in people’s lives.

I earned a Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Bristol and a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Talbot School of Theology. I’m also the co-author of God’s Purposes in Our Pain (Crossway, 2026) and Paul and Money (Zondervan, 2015).

My wife, Lori, and I have three adult children: Joshua and his wife, Chandler; Justin; and Jena.
