I created Timeless Word because I’ve met countless Christians who genuinely want to understand God’s Word but aren’t always sure where to begin. I hope these resources help you read the Bible with greater clarity and confidence, understand its message, and see how it points to Christ and shapes everyday life.

For more than thirty years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a pastor, professor, and author. Whether I’m preaching, teaching, or writing, my goal is the same: to explain the Bible faithfully, clearly, and practically. I believe the Bible was written to be understood. Careful study doesn’t make God’s Word less relevant—it helps us see its beauty, depth, and transforming power more clearly.

One of my greatest joys in ministry is watching people discover truths in Scripture they’ve never noticed before. There’s nothing quite like seeing God’s Word come alive as its meaning becomes clear.

I earned a Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Bristol and a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Talbot School of Theology. I’ve also had the privilege of co-authoring God’s Purposes in Our Pain (Crossway, 2026) and Paul and Money (Zondervan, 2015).

My wife, Lori, and I have three adult children: Joshua (and his wife, Chandler), Justin, and Jena.
